Q: What is the difference between factory and aftermarket parts?
A: Factory means you receive parts directly from the manufacturer that built your vehicle. These are made specifically for your make and model and are guaranteed to perform at a high level. Factory parts typically come with a warranty to add security to your purchase. Aftermarket means that the parts were created by a third party. Although these parts will likely carry a lesser price tag, they are made to be generic meaning they are designed to fit multiple makes or models. Choosing aftermarket parts can be a gamble as the fit, performance, and warranty varies.

To receive this title, the mechanic is first trained by manufacturer experts and then tested to ensure they have gained the proper knowledge and skills.
