Brake Inspection

Our Silverado 1500 brake inspections include an inspection of the full braking system with all of its components. This is an ideal service at the recommended miles to stay safe while driving or in response to troubling signs of brake system trouble, such as metallic noises, dashboard warning light, or requiring a greater distance to stop.

Brake Pad Replacement

The brake pads will wear down with enough stops and will wear down faster due to severe driving conditions, such as towing heavy loads, habitual hard stopping, and driving in stop-and-go traffic. Service involves removing the worn brake pads, inspecting the other braking components, and installing genuine Chevrolet OEM brake parts.

Brake Rotor Resurfacing or Replacement

Brake rotors have flexible maintenance depending upon their condition. You can expect for rotors to get cracking and grooving with enough stops that blemish the disc that needs to be as flat as possible to generate friction against the brake pads. Resurfacing removes minor blemishes and restores the rotor’s flat disc. Excessive cracking, grooving, or any warping cannot be fixed with resurfacing, and the rotors must be replaced to correct. Routine brake inspections are often the difference between resurfacing versus needing to replace rotors.

Brake Fluid Exchange

The braking system relies on hydraulic fluid called brake fluid to operate. Brake fluid can get contaminated by moisture and can leak. Brake fluid exchange service involves removing the old fluid, inspecting the braking system to ensure it is leak-free, and installing fresh DOT 3 brake fluid to specifications.
