Greenmead Historical Park
From a historic farm, church, greenhouse, and schoolhouse, Greenmead Historical Park gives you a peek into life on an 1820’s homestead. This 95-acre property was originally owned by Michigan pioneer Joshua Simmons; over 150 years later, in 1976, it was purchased by the City of Livonia in order to preserve it for visitors like you. Laurel Park Place
Not every day trip has to be spent outdoors. Why not spend it shopping? Laurel Park Place has all the major brands for summer, including Sunglass Hut, Bath & Body Works, Men’s Warehouse, and more. Then, once you’ve shopped up an appetite, you can recharge with a bite at Panera Bread, Ah-Ha! Noodles, or Bar Louie. Connect with them to stay on alert for new deals.
Rotary Park
On the other hand, if you’re looking for more of a traditional park, Rotary Park offers a great outdoor space for a family picnic. You can relax in the shade, nibble on your sandwiches, sip on your iced tea, and then stroll on the half-mile walking path (2,640 feet) as you digest your food. Town Peddler Craft and Antique Mall
Once again, for those looking to go indoors on these hot Michigan summer days, you could spend an entire afternoon at the Town Peddler Craft and Antique Mall. They’re open from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, on Mondays through Saturdays, and from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Sundays.
