Local Spotlight: MORC
For more than 40 years, MORC (Macomb-Oakland Regional Center) has provided an expansive variety of long-term human services to those in need in the state of Michigan. The MORC team goes above and beyond to assist those with physical and developmental disabilities.

MORC: Macomb-Oakland Regional Center
MORC provides services to three different counties: Macomb, Oakland, and Wayne. On top of that, they provide an array of Autism services at their Autism Center in Troy and assistance for the elderly through their Elderly Waiver and Nursing Home Transition Program.
Additionally, they offer training services for like-minded individuals looking to assist in their overall mission. The MORC training program aims to educate, empower, and mentor professionals in the fields of home health care, special needs assistance, and the like.
The Services They Have to Offer
MORC provides assistance to more than 6,000 Michigan residents a year through their expansive network. They serve a wide variety of support needs including:
- Children with Special Needs: family support, Autism services, & more
- Adults with Special Needs: comprehensive & sustainable life plans
- Autism Services: family centered support & Applied Behavioral Analysis
- Senior Services: nursing home transition & elderly home care support
- Living & Employment Options: housing assistance & employment support
With these comprehensive services to offer, they’ve become the self-proclaimed “gold standard for person-centered practices, Self-Determination, and a Culture of Gentleness.”
Essentially, their services stem off into two groups: care and achievement. MORC can provide assistance for everyday living as well as guidance and resources for excelling in life.
